Government Programs

CDAP is a Federal Government program run by ISED (Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada) that is focused on in increasing competitiveness of SME business by improving their digital capabilities.  For the purpose of this program, a SME is a business with less than 500 employees, but with more than $500k in annual revenue.  The feature of the program is a 5yr zero interest loan ranging from $25k to $100k through BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada) for the project implementation.  Further to this is a grant offered through Boost Your Business Technology working in conjunction with CDAP that covers 90% (up to $15k) of the mandatory digital consulting support.  Lastly, CDAP offers a wage subsidy of up to $7300 for a student or recent graduate that supports the digital project implementation.

DMAP is an Ontario Provincial Program that is also focused on SMEs with less than 500 employees and more than $500k annual revenue.  Fundamentally, the programs are very similar in their objective, however, DMAP offers a 50% grant subsidy for both the mandatory digital consulting support ($15k max) and project implementation ($150k max).
